FAQ

Q: What is a consignment sale?

A: The Children's Consignment Sale fundraiser is a pop-up shopping event where parents sell and buy gently used kids clothing, toys and gear. Our sale is held twice annually (Fall/Winter: October and Spring/Summer: March). Consigning families prepare, tag and price their gently used items and drop them off at King of Glory. Then, shoppers score amazing deals for their growing kids and grandkids!

Q: How are sale proceeds distributed?

A: Approximate distribution of sale proceeds:

  • Consignors: 65% (Consignors who volunteer eight hours service at the sale: 75%)

  • Gift Certificates to under-resourced families in the community: 10%

  • Preschool Scholarship Fund and Mothers Of Preschoolers (MOPS) Donation: 15-20%

  • Administrative fees: 3-5%

Q: Why is there a fee to consign?

A: The $5 fee guarantees the Consignor a place to sell their items and helps offset administrative costs.

Q: What happens to my items if I donate them at the end of the sale?

A: We partner with local agencies such as FISH, Avalon, Grove Christian Outreach, Olde Towne Medical Center, CHKD and others to ensure that your items continue to support our local community.
